Description
Vehicle Spare Parts Management Assessment of the United Nations Peacekeeping Missions
The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) located in Brindisi, Italy is seeking expression of interest from qualified consultants for the provision of a Vehicle Spare Parts Management Assessment of the United Nations Peacekeeping missions.
The Phases of the Project shall include:
1. The Introduction Phase: The selected Consultant will initially meet with the UNGSC technical staff in Brindisi for a briefing and confirmation of the project SOR and tasks. This phase will involve the gathering of background information from relevant files, documents, and initial assessment of current spare parts practices and existing Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs). The Consultant will be required to submit a project work plan to the UNGSC project team leader for approval at the end of this phase.
2. Research, drafting of the assessment report, and updated business case: The consultant will be required to research UN, National and International documents relevant to the performance of the contract. During this phase, the Consultant will be required to adopt best practices in the industry to UN requirements and incorporate lessons learned from current and past UN operations. At the end of this phase, a comprehensive report shall be submitted.
3. Presentation of findings and recommendations: In this stage, the Consultant will be expected to provide a presentation to the UNGSC Supply Chain Management.
Qualifications:
- The consultancy company personnel carrying out the services shall have qualifications in one of the related science fields: Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering Management (or its equivalent).
- The key personnel (Lead Assessors) shall have as a minimum a Master of Science (MSc) in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering Management or equivalent relevant field.
