NOTICE:THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION HS BEEN EXTENDED UP TO 31ST JANUARY 2019

 The WFP Somalia Office is looking for (a) Service Provider(s) including banks/ Telkom companies/cash transfer companies with the capacity to set up, operate, and maintain a secure, effective and cost-efficient delivery system to transfer unrestricted assistance to its beneficiaries.

This request for Information (RFI) aims at identifying Service Providers to support these food assistance transfers, in collaboration with selected retail outlets and other stakeholders as the need may dictate. The estimated levels for the cash/voucher assistance is estimated at USD 140 million per annum.  The value may rise or drop depending on several factors including the level of food assistance needed, geographical location of that stated need and donors response to WFP appeals.

The preferred system(s) should, enable linkages to points of payment (cash) or redemption (vouchers) based on needs. It should also enable appropriate monitoring, reporting and evaluation as required by WFP, including links or integration to WFP’s corporate beneficiary and distribution management system.

For the purposes of this service, WFP would like (a) service provider(s) that can address one or a combination of the following disbursement options with online and offline capabilities:

i.                     Cash: Beneficiaries of cash transfers receive a predetermined amount of cash that they should use to purchase food products from the local retail outlets.

ii.                   Value vouchers: Beneficiaries receive E-vouchers with a certain monetary value that they can use to redeem food of their choice from WFP contracted retail outlets.
