The Annual Statistical Report on United Nations Procurement is produced by UNOPS on behalf of the United Nations. More information
The Annual Statistical Report on United Nations Procurement (ASR) provides an overview of the procurement of the United Nations system in support of its operations, projects and programmes. The first reporting on United Nations procurement activities prepared by the UNDP, was presented to the 39th session of the General Assembly in 1984. Later that year, the General Assembly requested continued reporting on procurement activities undertaken by UN organizations. Since 2008, UNOPS has been compiling the report.
The 2021 report is the 38th edition of the ASR. The report includes information on categories of goods and services procured by the UN system, the countries from which these goods and services were procured and analysis of procurement in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The ASR also reports on organizations’ efforts to integrate sustainability considerations into their procurement processes, in the context of the UN's continued focus on sustainable development. In addition, the report includes a section on UN collaboration in procurement.
