Description
The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) oversees the contract of the United Nations Fuel Station. The Fuel Station is a purpose-built, stand-alone facility providing duty-free fuel to international staff members, official organizations and the greater diplomatic community. The Fuel Station is located adjacent the United Nations Compound in Nairobi, Kenya. The outlet provides unleaded petrol and low sulphur diesel fuel for use in appropriately designated vehicles and for residential and official generators. The Fuel Station comprises of 4 underground fuel tanks of 30,000 liters each, a large forecourt, a convenience store and office. The Fuel Station serves approximately 4,000 vehicles per month. UNON seeks expression of interest from suitably qualified and experienced firms that have the capacity to take on the management of the Fuel Station, and as such to perform the following tasks: 1. Maintain the assortment of fuel products as agreed between UNON and the Government of Kenya; 2. Procure the selected products with good commercial practises and in line with Host Country requirements for duty exemption 3. Manage the logistics of ordering, expediting, receiving, storing and safeguarding of fuel 4. Maintain an integrated fuel management system 5. Manage the sales operation 6. Maintain appropriate accounts, records and control procedures IMPORTANT: Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. Its purpose is to identify eligible vendors that would be interested to participate in the related upcoming solicitation. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement of this EOI at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this REOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for reciept of the solicitation when issued. Only vendors, which in the UN's sole discretion, are deemed eligible and qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their EOI submissions, may receive the final solicitation documents
