Dear sir/madam,
The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in Cambodia is pleased to invite prospective bidders to submit a bid for the following medical supplies;
Lot 1: Mechanical body weight scales : 4,710 units
Lot 2: Medical digital Thermometers : 3,260 units
Lot 3: Hard plastic box for storing medical items : 1,450 units
Lot 4: Digital alarm timer: 3,260 units
If you are interested in submitting a bid in response to this ITB, please prepare your bid in accordance with the requirements and procedure as set out in the ITB and submit it to UNOPS before the deadline for bid submission.

New clarification added: Query: What will be the weight of product : Hard plastic box for storing medical items? Is 500gm to 900 gm accepatable?UNOPS Clarification:There is no restriction on the weight of the product.

New clarification added: Query: Can we offer other size. ie Size:Length: Between 29cm to 40cmWidth: Between 19cm to 26 cmHeight: Between 17cm to 28cmUNOPS Clarification:The internal size of the offered products shall be compliant to the requirements in the ITB Section II-Schedule of Requirements.

New clarification added: Query: Once a vendor wins the contract, what are the payment terms? Will UNOPS open an irrevocable Letter of Credit (LC) under the vendor name?If no, then how does UNOPS guarantee, that the funds will be released upon the delivery of goods/services?UNOPS Clarification:Payment will be made within 30 days upon satisfactory receipt of goods by UNOPS and upon receipt of original invoice by UNOPS Cambodia Office.UNOPS will not issue an LC for the vendor.UNOPS guarantees that as long as the supply received by UNOPS meets the requirements in the order, payment will be effected by UNOPS to the supplier via bank transfer within 30 days.

New clarification added: Query: Please kindly clarify the meaning of "certified" in below sentence?Commercial invoice: 1 original and 2 certified copiesDo you mean the copy invoice should be certified by the third party(such as by CCPIT)?UNOPS Clarification:No. We will only need 1 original and 2 photocopies which are stamped by the company as a true copies of the original document.

New clarification added: Query: What kind of document or form is required to be uploaded online for "Requirement of a Sample for Lot 1, Lot 2 and Lot 4" , as this form is not included in the forms?UNOPS Clarification:There is no document / form required for this.However, the bidder should provide one sample for Lot-1, Lot-2 and Lot-4 to UNOPS within 5 working days from the bid submission deadline.The product catalogue should be submitted with the bid.

New clarification added: Query: Can we do partial shipment , ie digital alarm timer and digital medical thermometer by air shipment and other two weighing scale and Hard plastic storage as sea shipment.UNOPS Clarification: The bidder can use their prefered mode of transport as long as the complete consignment arrives in Phnom Penh Cambodia within 8 to 10 weeks from the date of signing the contract. Query: Delivery period of 8-10 weeks is to the forwarder or it includes the arrival time at Cambodia?UNOPS Clarification: The goods should arrive in Phnom Penh, Cambodia within 8 to 10 weeks from the date of contract signing.

New clarification added: Query: we would like to know the plastic box size as showed in the document --Length: Between 29cm to 32cm，Width: Between 19cm to 22 cm，Height: Between 17cm to 20cm，does that refer to the actual internal dimensions of the box or the external dimensions which includes the edge of the box and the handle？ Because these two kinds of measurement method may differ a lot which may differ about 6cm.UNOPS Clarification:The size refers to the actual internal dimensions of the box.

New clarification added: Query: May I know if you only need the the goods to be shipped by air instead of sea, we can arrang the shipment to be delivered consignee's address even if by sea.UNOPS Clarification:The destination of the goods is Phnom Penh, Cambodia.Therefore the bidder shall choose the mode of transport whether by air for a destination to Phnom Penh International Airport or by sea for a destination to Phnom Penh International Port - as long as the delivery is made within 8 to 10 weeks from date of award.Query: We would like to know what kind of material we should submit about the following required document in the document checklist on the unops esourcing system.UNOPS Clarification:One sample for Lot-1, Lot-2 and Lot-4 should be delivered to UNOPS within 5 working days from the bid submission deadline.The product catalogue should be submitted with the bid.

New clarification added: Query: Can we be allowed to quote for the supply of the Medical Equipments- To the Countries that are based in the East African Region?UNOPS Clarification:No. All of the items (lots) required are to be delivered to Cambodia only. The delivery place and incoterm is CPT-Phnom Penh, Cambodia.Query: Could the period required for the submiion of the samples be extended from the 5 Days Period as it will take sometime to ship the samples from Kenya to Cambodia.UNOPS Clarification:Only 5 working days counted from the bid submission deadline, are allocated for the sample to be delivered to UNOPS Cambodia office. Kindly note that this will not be changed.We advise you to submit your bid early and send the samples much earlier if you realise that you need more time to have the samples delivered.Query: Where are the Delivery Points for the Countries that are based in the East African Region = As this will hep us in the Calculation of the Freight Charges to the Different Locations.UNOPS Clarification: Destination of goods is to Cambodia only at the Phnom Penh International Airport or Phnom Penh International Port, depending on the mode of transport used by the bidder. New clarification added: Query: We do have sufficient stock to meet this requirement, however one batch will be branded SP Services and the other (500 pcs) will be branded Rycom - althougth the device specifaction is exactly the same. Can you please confirm that this is acceptable?UNOPS Clarification: This would be acceptable as long as the following conditions are fulfilled;1. Both items / brands meet the requested specifications and this shall be further supported by product catalogues as well as the product samples. If any of the samples fail, note that the whole offer will be considered to have failed.2. Same price is offered for both items / brands. New clarification added: The evaluation will be done lot by lot - meaning one lot will be evaluated and awarded at a time.Therefore the bidder may have the chance to be awarded one or more lots depending on if they have provided the best offer for just one or more lots.If any bidder has any other conditions to be proposed, they should mention this clearly in their offer.
