Description
Dear Bidder,
The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator.
Below is a summary of the work to be performed:
The assignment supports the Philippines’ engagement under the Global Accelerator on Jobs and Social Protection for Just Transitions, a UN-wide initiative promoting employment, social protection, and sustainable and inclusive development. As a pathfinder country, the Philippines is advancing evidence-based policy priorities aligned with the Global Accelerator roadmap.
Through its Technical Support Facility, the ILO provides the Structural Model for Sustainable Development (SMSD), an economy-wide tool for assessing the macroeconomic, labour market, and distributional impacts of policy interventions.
DOLE and DEPDev are working with the ILO to apply the SMSD through a Rapid Assessment covering two areas: (i) social protection and health insurance, including coverage, financing, and benefits; and
(ii) transport and construction investment, including employment, sectoral, and distributional impacts.
The assignment will provide quantitative support for data preparation, updating, and modelling, while strengthening national capacity to use SMSD analysis for evidence-based policy design, implementation, and monitoring.
