Description
Dear Bidder,
The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator.
Below is a summary of the work to be performed:
The external collaborator will be responsible for preparing and delivering a comprehensive two-day technical training on the International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities (ISIC Rev. 4) for the Yemen Central Statistical Organization (CSO) staff in Amman, Jordan, on 16–17 November 2026, as part of the Household Budget Survey (HBS) workshop. The assignment will involve coordinating with the ILO and World Bank technical teams to identify training needs and priorities; developing a detailed training agenda; and preparing comprehensive training materials in Arabic, covering the structure, underlying concepts, definitions, and coding principles of ISIC Rev. 4. Particular emphasis will be placed on the practical application of the classification in the context of household surveys, including the accurate coding of economic activities and the treatment of complex classification cases.
The training will combine theoretical presentations with practical examples, hands-on coding exercises, and interactive discussions to strengthen participants’ technical knowledge and capacity to apply ISIC Rev. 4 consistently and accurately in HBS operations. Following the completion of the training, the external collaborator will prepare a concise report summarizing the activities conducted, key discussions, training outcomes, challenges identified, and recommendations for further technical support and capacity-building, as appropriate.
