Description

The Service Provider shall provide technical assistance for the establishment of a hydrological forecasting and warning system for the Neretva and Trebišnjica River Basin in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The assignment shall include, but not necessarily be limited to:

  • establishment of coordination and cooperation mechanisms among responsible institutions;
  • assessment and integration of relevant hydrological, meteorological and operational data sources;
  • development and implementation of data collection and exchange systems;
  • development and integration of forecasting tools, models and operational platforms;
  • development of hydrological forecasting and warning procedures;
  • testing, operationalization and handover of the forecasting system;
  • delivery of workshops, training programmes and knowledge transfer activities;
  • preparation of recommendations for long-term operation, maintenance and further development of the system.

The detailed scope of services, tasks, technical requirements and expected activities are provided in Annex 1 – Detailed Scope of Work, which forms an integral part of these Terms of Reference in English and official languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
