Description

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Jordan invites qualified national and international firms and consortia to submit expressions of interest for inclusion in a roster of specialised service providers for investment project preparation, bankability assessment, sustainable finance and transaction advisory services.

The roster will support collaboration with national partners to identify, prepare and advance investment opportunities aligned with Jordan’s development priorities, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and national climate and biodiversity commitments.

Through this EOI, UNDP seeks to:

§  Prequalify multidisciplinary firms with expertise in sector-specific technical assessment, project finance, financial modelling, investment structuring and transaction preparation.

§  Establish access to specialists with practical experience in commercial and investment banking, development finance institutions (DFIs), international financial institutions (IFIs) and private capital markets.

§  Translate development priorities into technically feasible projects with appropriate financing structures and documentation for appraisal by potential financiers.

§  Develop financing solutions encompassing private investment, public-private partnerships (PPPs), concessional and blended finance, guarantees, sustainable bonds and sukuk, and other relevant instruments.

§  Support investor engagement and progression towards financing appraisal, approval and financial close, where appropriate.

§  Strengthen national capacities in investment preparation, sustainable finance and capital mobilisation, while supporting a potential initial assignment and future requirements.

Applicants may seek prequalification for one or more of the seven service lots and will be assessed separately for each lot. Inclusion in the roster does not constitute a contract award or guarantee future engagement or a minimum volume of work. Subsequent procurement will be undertaken in accordance with applicable UNDP procurement policies and procedures.

UNDP invites interested and eligible suppliers to submit Expressions of Interest (EOIs) in respect of provision of the requirements described below. The purpose of the REOI is to identify suppliers that wish to participate in a forthcoming solicitation process.
