Description
RFP-008/26 - Consultancy Firm for Data Collection for the baseline assessment of the Sustaining Peace and Social Cohesion Through a National-led Prevention Approach in Sierra Leone (SPESOCO) project

The purpose of this assignment is to support the baseline survey of the above mentioned project by supporting the international consultant with the quantitative data on perception indicators. For this, the firm will deploy enumerators and collect the necessary data on perception indicators in line with the result framework.

This baseline survey aims to establish rigorous, credible and disaggregated baseline data against which progress and results of the project can be measured throughout implementation and at endline, in accordance with the project’s results framework.

The baseline assessment includes a full-scale survey of the perception indicators. To this end, UNDP is engaging in the services of a national enumerator firm to work with the international consultant to collect relevant indicator data for the baseline survey. The project is being implemented in Western Area Rural, Western Area Urban, Kono and Tonkolili.

To collect the perception data on the indicators, the consultancy service from the national firm is requested with the following objectives:

Work closely with the international consultant, UNDP, UNICEF and UN Women

Recruit, train and deploy the enumerators for data collection

Provide logistic/ICT support to the enumerators for the operation, training and field missions, including for the beneficiaries

Enter the data into the data entry sheet and send it to the international consultant/UNDP, UNICEF and UN Women for further analysis and or use digital data collection tool to collect the data.

Produce an assignment completion report (maximum 4 pages) covering the progress, challenges and lessons for the data collection. The report is expected to inform the similar future assignments.
