Description
Dear Bidder, The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator. Below is a summary of the work to be performed: The consultant will design and deliver a structured, fully accessible capacity-building programme for the newly established Persons with Disabilities Committee under the General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions (GFJTU), enabling its Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Union Disability Focal Points and members to represent workers with disabilities, advance disability inclusion within the trade union movement, and contribute to advocacy and social dialogue. Working in coordination with the GFJTU and the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD), the consultant will conduct an accessible capacity needs assessment, including participants’ accessibility and reasonable accommodation requirements; map existing complaints, referral and support mechanisms; and develop a modular training package and operational tools in Arabic and English and in accessible formats, building on the 2026 trade union training programme on disability inclusion. The package will cover the rights-based approach to disability, legal and policy frameworks, equality and non-discrimination, reasonable accommodation and accessibility, accessible communication, trade union representation and leadership, social dialogue and advocacy, complaints and referral, and Committee governance. The consultant will deliver participatory training, including peer educator/organizer training for Union Disability Focal Points; provide a minimum of three follow-up coaching sessions; support the Committee in drafting its annual workplan; and prepare a final report. If you are interested, please express interest and follow the instructions attached to consult the detailed terms of reference and other relevant information in the ILO e-sourcing platform. Please submit your proposal before the specified deadline. Thank you.
