Design and Development of models for the FAO Fertilizer Recommendation Platform

FAO is launching a tender for the Design and Development of Models for the FAO Fertilizer Recommendation Platform, a digital decision-support tool that will provide evidence-based, site-specific fertilizer recommendations that are economically viable and environmentally sustainable. The assignment involves developing models that integrate soil, crop, climate, farmer and fertilizer price data to generate recommendations on fertilizer types, quantities, application timing and methods, associated costs, and expected economic benefits. The platform will support farmers, extension workers, national institutions, practitioners and policymakers, and will integrate with FAO’s SoilFER digital ecosystem and relevant soil information systems and open data services.
