Description

UNDP Zambia seeks the services of a consulting firm to conduct the EV Charging Corridor Route Analysis and Mapping in Zambia.

Zambia is pursuing a transition towards sustainable, low-carbon transport systems as part of its broader climate change, energy transition and economic development agenda. The increasing adoption of electric mobility presents significant opportunities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), improve energy security and stimulate industrial development. A key prerequisite for scaling electric vehicle (EV) adoption is the establishment of a reliable and strategically located EV charging network. There is a need to identify and map priority EV charging corridors across Zambias major transport routes, trade corridors, urban centers and border crossings. This assignment will provide an evidence-based framework to guide public and private sector investment in EV charging infrastructure.
