Description

Background

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is committed to promoting sustainable development in Angola through innovation, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and inclusive economic growth. Through the timbuktoo initiative, UNDP seeks to position Africa as a global hub for innovation by supporting youth-led solutions and strengthening entrepreneurial ecosystems across strategic sectors, including agriculture and food systems.

To help bridge this gap, the Timbuktoo AgriTech Hub Angola seeks to create platforms that facilitate dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among key actors in the agricultural ecosystem, including farmers, entrepreneurs, startups, investors, academia, government institutions, development partners, and the private sector. These efforts aim to strengthen awareness of emerging opportunities, showcase local innovations, and stimulate partnerships that contribute to the transformation of the agricultural sector.

As part of this effort, UNDP Angola intends to launch the PodSalo AgriTech Podcast Series, a multimedia communication platform designed to amplify conversations around agriculture, innovation, entrepreneurship, technology, climate resilience, and youth participation in the sector. The podcast series will feature interviews, discussions, success stories, and expert perspectives from a diverse range of stakeholders operating across the AgriTech ecosystem in Angola and beyond.

The PodSalo AgriTech Podcast Series will also contribute to increasing the visibility of the Timbuktoo AgriTech Hub, disseminating knowledge products, promoting innovative solutions, and fostering meaningful engagement with target audiences through digital channels. To achieve these objectives, UNDP Angola seeks to engage a qualified media production company or consortium with demonstrated experience in audiovisual production, digital communication, and content dissemination to design, produce, and support the dissemination of the podcast series.

The PodSalo AgriTech Podcast Series forms part of UNDP Angolas efforts to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and knowledge sharing within the agricultural ecosystem under the Timbuktoo AgriTech Hub initiative.

The objective is to create a professional podcast platform that will:

  • Showcase innovative agricultural solutions.
  • Promote startups and entrepreneurs.
  • Disseminate knowledge and good practices.
  • Increase awareness of AgriTech opportunities.
  • Strengthen visibility of UNDP-supported initiatives.
  • Facilitate dialogue among ecosystem stakeholders.
