Expression of Interest (EOI) for Local Production of Specialized Nutritious Foods in Afghanistan

Objective

UNICEF Afghanistan invites eligible manufacturers, food processors, private sector entities, and other qualified organizations to express their interest in the local production of:

  • Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF)
  • Ready-to-Use Supplementary Food (RUSF)
  • Small-Quantity Lipid Nutrient Supplements (SQ-LNS)
  • Nutrient-Dense First Foods and Snacks

The purpose of this EOI is to identify capable suppliers and production partners with the technical, operational, and quality assurance capacity to support the local production of high-quality specialized nutritious foods in Afghanistan.

Submission Method

Interested organizations should submit their Expression of Interest in accordance with the requirements outlined in the EOI document and through designated email: ACOservicebids@unicef.org

 IMPORTANT NOTE on submission of documents:

Interested companies must respond to this request for EoI and submit the required documents to dedicated email address ACOservicebids@unicef.org  with subject: “REOI–AFG-2026-001 – Company Name”.

The companies may send as many e-mails as needed; however, the size of each e-mail (including the attachments) should not exceed ten megabytes (10 MB). As an e-mail, can take some time to arrive after it is sent, we advise to send e-mail submissions well before the deadline.

The companies are solely responsible for ensuring that all documents sent to UNICEF are readable, that is uncorrupted and free from viruses and malware. Failure to provide readable files will result of documents being rejected.
