Consultancy for the Development of Technical Specifications for Laboratory, Workshop and ICT Equipment
UNESCO, in collaboration with the University of Juba and relevant technical stakeholders, intends to engage a qualified Laboratory and ICT Equipment Specialist/Expert to assess the equipment requirements of the new SAIS training facility and develop detailed, technically sound and procurement-ready specifications for laboratory, workshop and ICT equipment.
The assignment will involve reviewing the relevant curricula and training requirements, assessing facility and infrastructure requirements, consulting University of Juba academic and technical staff, identifying appropriate equipment and accessories, and preparing a consolidated equipment schedule and technical specifications. The expert will ensure that the proposed equipment is aligned with the training programmes and compatible with the available spaces and infrastructure.
The assignment will support the operationalisation of the facility under construction and contribute to the STVET-VCD objective of strengthening practical, quality and market-responsive TVET delivery aligned with South Sudan's agricultural value chains and labour market needs.
The overall objective of the assignment is to engage a qualified technical expert to assess, identify and develop comprehensive, fit-for-purpose and procurement-ready technical specifications for laboratories, workshops and ICT equipment required to operationalise the training facility being constructed under the STVET-VCD Project at the School of Applied and Industrial Sciences (SAIS), University of Juba.
