Description

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) are jointly implementing a project under the Migration Multi-Partner Trust Fund (MMPTF) titled, "Enhancing the resilience to climate change of migrant and vulnerable households in the coastal areas of Odisha and drought-prone areas of Telangana." The project addresses climate-induced vulnerabilities, migration drivers, and the need for resilient agrifood systems. As part of its communication and community outreach strategy, the project will use wall paintings as an innovative and visual medium to raise awareness, communicate key messages, and promote local ownership of the programme’s objectives in the project locations of Odisha and Telangana. The painting design and identified locations will be provided by the FAO-IOM Joint Programme team. The duration of the project is three months from the date of starting the assignment. Locations in Telangana: • Nizamabad district – Nyavanandi and Honnajipet Gram Panchayats • Narayanpet district – Chandravancha and Mudireddipalle Gram Panchayats The selected agency shall be responsible for the following: · Paint a maximum of 08 wall paintings (approx. size: 8ft x 10ft each) across selected gram panchayats/villages, in two districts - Narayanpet and Nizamabad in Telangana. · Ensure the use of safe, durable and weather-resistant paint materials. · Involve local youth/artists wherever feasible to build local ownership. · Capture geotagged photos and brief documentation of each completed site. a. Post-Production & Reporting • Submit a completion report including: o Locations with GPS coordinates o Photos of all completed paintings o A short narrative on community reactions and involvement o Summary of challenges and lessons learned 4. Deliverables · 08 identified walls completed with wall paintings and geotagged photos. · Final report.
