Description
Scope of work.

The national media firm will focus on the following areas, working under the Programme Coordinator (Inclusive/Green Business) and UNDP Communications Unit:

I. Campaign Documentary & Overarching Impact Video

  • Conceptualize, script, shoot or source footage for, edit and deliver the campaign’s main documentary video on the “Makers of Malawi” story.
  • Produce a single overarching impact video that captures the programme’s decade of impact and narrative, with teaser and platform cut downs.
  • Incorporate entrepreneur, partner and beneficiary voices, and draw on existing footage where suitable.

II. Visual Identity & Harmonization of Existing Materials

  • Develop a consistent campaign visual identity: agreed color palette, branding, typography and thematic approach.
  • Review the existing videos, photography and communication materials and harmonize them under the agreed identity — re-edits, color grading, lower-thirds, intros/outros, captions and templates.
  • Produce a short visual identity / brand guide and reusable templates so future content stays consistent.

III. Media Content Management Support

  • Support the planning, packaging and scheduling of campaign content across channels.
  • Provide editing and quality assurance so all content meets the agreed visual standard.
  • Advise on the content calendar and storytelling aligned to the campaign narrative.

IV. Milestone Event Support

Provide media and visibility support for the four campaign milestones:

  • Makers Digital Launch (1 August 2026) – the digital kick-off of “Makers of Malawi” across all channels.

  • Partners in Progress Roadshow — Physical Launch (Mid-September 2026) – the campaign’s physical launch (replacing UNGA), convening all donors and development partners that have supported private sector development in Malawi since inception; spotlights the ecosystem and concrete collaboration opportunities. Tentatively hosted at the Residence of the Ambassador of Germany.

  • Enterprise and Impact Symposium (Mid-October 2026) – entrepreneur-led thematic panels with key enabling-environment Ministries, the Reserve Bank of Malawi and pension funds as co-panelists — impact first, then the enabling-environment and policy work underway.

  • Scale-Up Investor Forum (Mid-November 2026) – stylized like the Enterprise and Impact Symposium but focused on “what now? scale”, convening impact financiers, donors, funds of funds, foundations and blended-finance players.

For each event the firm will provide video and stills coverage, highlights and a post-event highlight package, and ensure event materials follow the campaign visual identity.
