SUPPLY, INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING OF AUDIO-VISUAL, CONFERENCE, SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETATION AND TELECONFERENCE EQUIPMENT FOR THE UNEP/MAP CONFERENCE ROOM AND MEETING ROOM

The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), on behalf of United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Coordinating Unit for the Mediterranean Action Plan (UNEP/MAP) – Barcelona Convention Secretariat, invites qualified interested firms to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the provision of a complete audio-visual, conference, simultaneous interpretation and teleconference solution for its premises in Athens, Greece. The requirement includes the supply, delivery, installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, training and warranty support of an integrated turnkey system for the main conference room and a smaller meeting room. Key Outputs include: • Supply and installation of audio and conference discussion equipment, including digital audio/DSP equipment, loudspeakers, wireless conference units and microphones. • Supply and installation of a simultaneous interpretation system supporting a minimum of two interpretation booths, two interpretation channels plus floor, and expandable to four channels. • Provision of infra-red interpretation equipment, including 50 personal receivers, interpreter desks, IR radiators, transmitters and associated equipment. • Supply and installation of PTZ camera and camera-control equipment for conference-room video capture and teleconference integration. • Supply and installation of professional display and visual equipment, including a 98-inch main display, three 50-inch commercial displays, two LED poster displays and smaller confidence/monitoring screens. • Provision of a videoconferencing/teleconference system for the smaller meeting room, supporting BYOD operation and major conferencing platforms such as Teams, Zoom and Webex. • Provision of all required cabling, racks, mounting hardware, interfaces, accessories, licences and distribution equipment necessary for a complete operational installation. • Conduct of site survey, detailed system design, installation, programming, testing and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT). • Provision of user training, as-built documentation, configuration backups and equipment inventories. Detailed requirements will be provided in the solicitation documents to be issued following the closure of this EOI. Specific Requirements/Information The purpose of this REOI is to identify suitable firms who may be invited for the Request for Proposal after the REOI is closed. All applicants should also be registered (free of charge) at United Nations Global Marketplace (www.ungm.org). IMPORTANT: Submission of an Expression of Interest at this stage only requires the vendor to indicate its interest by clicking the “Express Interest” option. No supporting documents or technical/financial submissions are required at this stage. Detailed requirements and submission instructions will be provided in the solicitation documents issued following the closure of this REOI. Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. Its purpose is to identify companies that would be interested and eligible to participate in the solicitation when issued. UNON will examine the outcome of this request for EOI and will consider those companies that have expressed their interest . UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this Request for EOI does not automatically guarantee your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued.
