New amendment added #1: Dear Bidders,The purpose of this Amendment No. 1 is to:1) Upload Revision 1 of the Technical Specification with Amendments made to Lines B-2 , B-7 & Line C-12 highlighted in red color. The revised technical specification is titled as “Amendment No. 01: RFQ 2026 64768-Technical Specification-Autoclave with Shredder” and is uploaded under the Documents section of this RFQ.Please note that submitting the original Technical Specifications Sheet without incorporating these amendments may result in disqualification of your bid. Bidders are therefore required to refer to the amended specification and submit the filled in updated Technical Specification Sheet as part of their bid.2) Extend the bid submission deadline from 8 October 2026, 9:00 UTC to 19 October 2026, 9:00 UTC.All other terms and conditions of the RFQ remain unchanged. RFQ/2026/64768;Q13: How far is the steam connection from the site where the autoclave shredder is to be installed?Ans 13: As mentioned in Line C-11 of the Technical Specification, the steam generator should be supplied as part of the Autoclave/shredder.Q14: Does the floor of the site where the autoclave shredder is to be installed have drains installed for waste water disposal?Ans 14: The pre-installation requirement will be available in the room dedicated for the Autoclave. Once the awarded bidder and manufacturer are identified, the facility will arrange the required drain.Q15: If no drains are available please advise how the waste water is to be disposedAns 15: The drain will be available.This Q&A shall form part of the official solicitation documents. Please be guided accordingly.Thank you.

New clarification added: Dear Bidders,Please note the below-raised questions and our official responses in connection with the Request for Quotation, ref. RFQ/2026/64768;Q1: We trust this correspondence finds you well. We would like to confirm whether installation is required for this project, as the tender documents do not indicate any requirement for installation or after‑sales services.Ans 1: Please note that the installation is mentioned in line L-35 of the Technical Specification-Autoclave with Shredder; it confirms that the autoclave should be installed to be fully functional with all needed accessories. To make it clearer Line L-35 of the Technical Sheet was updated to reflect the correct wording. Please note also that the installation service requirements are detailed in Tab 2 of the Financial Matrix (RFQ/2026/64768_ Form B_Price Schedule Form.xlsx). We kindly request bidders to quote for installation costs in the dedicated sheet for Training & Installation in Form B: Price Schedule Form .Q2: Sterilization temperature (item 12): The specification requires a maximum sterilization temperature of at least 135°C for steam-based sterilization. Some integrated systems, such as the Celitron ISS 25L, list validated sterilization cycles at 134°C. Would a validated 134°C cycle be acceptable if supporting test reports demonstrate the required microbial inactivation and compliance with the applicable standards, or must the offered equipment strictly meet the minimum 135°C requirement?Ans2: Since 134°C is still sufficient for the targeted sterilization requirements, Line C-12 of Technical Specification Sheet-Autoclave with Shredder has been amended as follows:Sterilization Temperature: Minimum of 134°C (for steam-based sterilization). Q3: Processing capacity (item 7): The specification requires a minimum of 2 kg per cycle. The current manufacturer information for the Tesalys STERIPLUS 20 indicates 1.6 - 2.4 kg per cycle for healthcare waste, depending on waste density, and higher capacities for laboratory/wet waste. What reference waste composition, density and test load should be used to demonstrate compliance with the minimum 2 kg per cycle requirement? Is a system with a validated capacity of at least 2 kg per cycle for the specified reference load acceptable where the published capacity varies with waste density?Ans 3: Line B-7 of the Technical Specification Sheet-Autoclave with Shredder has been amended as follows: Processing Capacity: Processing Capacity: Not less than 1.5 Kg / cycle. Q4 :Equivalent standards and certification (items 38–44 and Annex A): Please confirm that equipment manufactured in China is eligible provided it meets all technical and documentary requirements. For the standards stated as “or equivalent”, particularly NF X30-503-1, EN ISO 17665-1 and EN 13060 or equivalent local regulatory clearance, which alternative standards, certificates and laboratory test reports would be considered acceptable evidence of equivalence? Please specify any requirements concerning the issuing or testing bodies.Ans 4: Equivalent standards and certifications that meet the requirements and the parameters (where applicable) of those requested in our tender will be acceptable. Issuing bodies should be accredited by independent or governing authority; should be reachable to be able to verify the compliance online or via direct contact. Clear supporting documents should be shared to be able to analyze and accept. Q5: we kindly request an extension of time of 3 weeks to submit an offer.Ans 5: UNOPS has extended the RFQ submission deadline to 19 October 2026Q6: We are interested in putting forward a bid for this project, but with less than six actual working days in which to receive and collate all necessary technical and commercial documentation, obtain reliable air freight rates etc., etc., before your close date of 8th, October 2026 is not workable (unless UNOPS has a supplier already prepared and waiting for this project announcement). We request the ESAMCO team please review such a short bid submission period, taking into account the current very fluid fuel cost situation which is impacting freight rates and time required for manufacturers to read and complete your Technical Compliance requirements and respond Line by Line to evidence their product complies with your users needs, plus requested supporting documentation. May we seek ESAMCO's consideration to extend the close date for this project until Monday 19th, October 2026.Ans 6: This RFQ is issued for the Ebola Emergency response in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Given the urgent nature of the emergency, it was initially opened for a period of 12 days as an open competitive tender. Bids are welcome from all eligible vendors, regardless of nationality. All proposals will be evaluated strictly against the technical requirements and criteria detailed in the Evaluation Criteria section of the tender documentation. Please note that UNOPS has extended the submission deadline for this RFQ to 19 October 2026.Q7: You state 20-30 litre volume. Does this refer to the chamber/loading volume per cycle, or is this a throughput rate, along with the expected waste quantity and waste categories (infections , sharps, etc) Please advise/clarifyAns 7: This refers to the chamber loading volume of the Technical specification sheet that has been updated under Line B 2. Chamber loading volume between 20L and 30LQ 8: What is the available power supply available at the site where the autoclave shredder is to be installed Phase Volts etc?Ans 8: The electrical pre-installation requirement will be available in the room dedicated for the Autoclave. Once the awarded bidder and manufacturer are identified, the facility will arrange the required electrical power. Please refer to the updated technical specification Line I-30.Q9: How far is the mains power connection from the site where the autoclave shredder is to be installed?Ans 9: The power will be supplied into the room, please arrange five meters cabling for internal room connection. Q10: Is a suitable water supply available at the site - if so what water pressure and what is the pipe dimensions and material?Ans 10: The water pre-installation requirement will be available in the room dedicated for the Autoclave. Once the awarded bidder and manufacturer are identified, the facility will arrange the required water (dimensions and parameters). Q11: How far is the water supply connection from the site where the autoclave shredder is to be installed?Ans 11: The water pre-installation requirement will be available in the room dedicated for the Autoclave. Once the awarded bidder and manufacturer are identified, the facility will arrange the required water (dimensions and parameters). Please arrange connections up to five meters from the autoclave final location. Q12: Is steam available at the site - if so please provide details and pipe dimensions?Ans 12: As mentioned in Line C-11 of the Technical Specification, the steam generator should be supplied as part of the Autoclave/shredder.This Q&A shall form part of the official solicitation documents.
