Description

The objective of this assignment is to organize and conduct a technical study tour to Germany on cement industry decarbonization for a delegation of 11 representatives from Kyrgyz state authorities (led by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce), management of cement enterprises, and UNDP.

The assignment will facilitate international technology transfer and capacity building through targeted interactions with German government bodies, cement producers, EPC/technology suppliers, and research institutions. Specifically, the study tour will focus on:

  1. Technology & Practice Exposure: Direct site visits to operational facilities demonstrating low-carbon clinker/cement production, Alternative Fuels and Raw Materials (AFR) systems, and Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) for adaptation in the Kyrgyz Republic.
  2. Policy & Financing Knowledge: Strengthening expertise in industrial decarbonization policy, regulatory frameworks, and climate finance mechanisms.
  3. B2B & B2G Partnerships: Facilitating direct dialogue and networking with German EPC providers, technology vendors, regulatory agencies, and industry stakeholders./
