Description
The International Legal Consultant will provide international and comparative legal expertise and technical quality assurance to support Jordan’s cooperative legislative reform. The Consultant will review key cooperative bylaws and regulations, including the Cooperative and Federation Bylaws, the Cooperative Development Fund and Institute Bylaws, the Cooperative Liquidation Regulation, and cooperatives’ internal bylaws and guiding templates, and provide recommendations in line with ILO Recommendation No. 193, the ILO Guidelines for Cooperative Legislation, international cooperative principles, and good practices.
The Consultant will also review revised legal texts and outcomes of the national legislative review process and provide final technical recommendations and quality assurance, while the National Legal Consultant will remain responsible for the national legislative review and drafting process.
