New clarification added: Dear Bidders, Please see below the clarification to the question received:Q: Please confirm whether a sterilizer chamber may be considered compliant with requirement 1.4 if its individual chamber dimensions differ from the approximate dimensions specified (500 × 500 × 1000 mm), i.e. one dimension is smaller while another is larger, provided that the chamber has an equivalent capacity and complies with the requirement for a chamber volume of not less than 250 L.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------A: Yes. The sterilizer chamber may be considered compliant where its individual dimensions differ from the approximate dimensions of 500 × 500 × 1000 mm, including where one dimension is smaller and another is larger, provided that the chamber volume is not less than 250 L and the offered chamber provides equivalent usable capacity and functionality for the intended sterilization loads.The dimensions stated in requirement 1.4 are approximate and indicative; exact compliance with each individual dimension is not mandatory.Thank you.Best regards,UNOPS Procurement Team

New amendment added #2: Dear Bidders, Please be advised that the following changes have been made to the RFQ:- The deadline for clarifications is rescheduled to 18:00 Kyiv Time on September 16, 2026.- The Schedule of Requirements for Lot 2 is amended as follows:1.1 Large hospital single-door steam sterilizer intended for sterilization of medical instruments, textiles, utensils, and other heat-resistant medical devices1.19 Water-purification system for production of demineralized water suitable for steam sterilizers. The system may be integrated or external, provided that it is supplied as part of the complete solution, connected to and fully compatible with the offered sterilizer.1.24 Demineralized-water storage tank of at least 100 L. Would compliance with the applicable EU conformity requirements and relevant standards, including EN ISO 11607-2, be accepted without MDR medical-device certification or medical-device registration in Ukraine?LOT 2 – Large Steam Sterilizer1. Number of doors / pass-through configurationPlease clarify whether the steam sterilizer is required to have a single-door or double-door pass-through configuration. If a double-door pass-through design is required, please consider adding this requirement explicitly to the technical specification.2. Compliance with the Technical Regulation for Pressure EquipmentWould UNOPS consider adding a mandatory requirement that the steam sterilizer comply with the Ukrainian Technical Regulation for Pressure Equipment, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 27 dated 16 January 2019, with the relevant conformity documents to be provided by the bidder?3. Where the offered heat sealer is not classified as a medical device, MDR medical-device certification and Ukrainian medical-device registration are not required. In such case, the bidder shall provide the applicable conformity documentation and evidence of compliance with relevant standards, including EN ISO 11607-2, where applicable, as well as documents confirming lawful placing on the Ukrainian market. LOT 2 – Large Steam Sterilizer1. Number of doors / pass-through configurationThe required configuration is a single-door steam sterilizer. A double-door/pass-through configuration is not required. The Schedule of Requirements will be amended accordingly. 2. Compliance with the Technical Regulation for Pressure EquipmentCompliance with the Technical Regulation for Pressure Equipment, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 27 dated 16 January 2019, is not specified as a separate mandatory requirement of this solicitation. 3. Ukrainian-language user interfaceA Ukrainian-language interface is not a mandatory requirement. Where software is applicable, it shall support English and/or Ukrainian language, in accordance with General Requirement 2.12. Operating instructions shall be provided in English and/or Ukrainian in accordance with General Requirement 2.11. 4. Requirement 1.14 – Integrated water circulation and condensate management systemA manufacturer-designed water-saving vacuum-system solution, together with an integrated drainage and condensate-management system, will be accepted as functionally equivalent, provided that it ensures proper water management, drainage and condensate discharge during operation and is supported by the manufacturer’s technical documentation. 5. Requirements 1.19–1.26 – Water purification systemYes. A separate external water-purification system, including reverse osmosis or equivalent technology, pretreatment filters and a demineralized-water storage tank, will be accepted, provided that it is supplied as part of the complete solution, connected to and fully compatible with the offered sterilizer, and meets the required water-quality and operational-capacity requirements.6. An additional second RO unit and second storage tank are not required.8. Accessory 2.8 – Water quality monitoring deviceYes. New clarification added: Dear UNOPS team,Could you please clarify the discrepancy between the Scope of Quotation stated on the procurement platform and the attached Schedule of Requirements?The Scope of Quotation indicates that UNOPS requirements consist of the following three Lots:Lot 1: Sterilization packaging machine – 1 unitLot 2: Large steam sterilizer – 1 unitLot 3: Oxygen concentrator – 1 unitHowever, in the attached document, Lot 2 is indicated as “Anesthesia and respiratory station” – 2 items.Could you please confirm which description and quantity should be considered correct for Lot 2: Large steam sterilizer – 1 unit, as stated in the Scope of Quotation, or Anesthesia and respiratory station – 2 items, as stated in the attached document?/Dear Bidder,Thank you.RFQ_Section_III_RFQ/2026/64511_From E_Technical Bid Form_Lot 2.docx will be corrected and uploaded as for Large steam sterilizer – 1 unit.Thank you.
