Description
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) invites qualified interested firms to submit Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming solicitation for the Provision of renovation and completion of the existing building to repurpose the structure into facilities for a simulator for visit, board, search and seizure training (vbs3)/ ship-in-a-box (SIAB), Mahe, Seychelles. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) through its Global Maritime Crime Programme intends to support the establishment of a training facility at the Seychelles Coast Guards. The project’s primary objectives of this requirement are: •To support the interdiction and combating contraband through training law enforcement officers across the Indian Ocean West. •To ensure establishment of a simulator VBS3/Ship-in-a-Box (SIAB) at the Coast Guard Base, Victoria, Seychelles. The complete details of the requirement will be provided in the tender documents that will be issued to bidders after this request for EOI is closed. Specific Requirements/Information Pre-qualification of Vendors This pre-qualification is intended to assess vendors against pre-determined criteria listed below. Only those vendors which in the opinion of the United Nations demonstrably meet the criteria will be shortlisted to participate in the upcoming tendering exercise following the finalization of the pre-qualification process. The UN will judiciously apply these criteria to prequalify adequate number of vendors with a goal to maximize competition and serve the interest of the United Nations. 1. Vendors (main/prime contractor) shall provide valid company documents showing certificate of incoporation/ registration or the equivalent.The vendors must also be registered with the Seychelles Licensing Authority (SLA) and the Seychelles Planning Authority Documents required from Vendors: Copies of SLA Building Contractor Licence (in English or translated into English) and other relevant documents. 2. The Vendor must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in executing construction/refurbishment projects of comparable scope. Documents required from Vendors: A brief company profile A copy of the Certificate of Incorporation/Registration or the equivalent A copy of the SLA Building Contractor Licence from the Seychelles Licencing Authority and the Seychelles Planning Authority class I or Class II IMPORTANT: Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. Its purpose is to identify companies that would be interested and eligible to participate in the solicitation when issued. UNODC will examine the outcome of this request for EOI and will consider those companies that have expressed their interest. UNODC reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this Request for EOI does not automatically guarantee your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued.
