Duration:  22 Sept 2026 – 31 March 2027 (up to 80 days) 

Duty Station: Yerevan, Armenia (Home-Based with occasional office visits)

The overall objective of this assignment is to identify, assess and prioritize sustainable financing mechanisms and economic policy instruments to support the long-term financing of ecosystem restoration in the Lake Sevan Basin. The assignment will explore opportunities to mobilize public and private financing, strengthen incentives for private-sector participation, and promote environmentally sustainable and nature-positive business practices. The Consultant will assess the financing needs and funding gaps associated with ecosystem restoration, analyze potential financing mechanisms and relevant regulatory and economic incentive frameworks, and identify viable and scalable solutions. Based on the findings, the Consultant will develop an evidence-based implementation roadmap outlining priority financing mechanisms, enabling policy measures, and practical steps for their operationalization and long-term sustainability. Under the overall guidance of the CER Programme Analyst and the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator, the Consultant will provide high-quality economic analysis and technical recommendations across the three main activity tracks, in accordance with the project’s work plan and expected results.
