Description of the assignment: UNDP is looking for a national legal entity for the assignment: RFQ/2026/005 - Supply of Certified Eastern Mongolian Red Breeding Cattle for Strengthening the Genetic Quality and Breeding Capacity of the Locally Owned Nucleus Herd Farm in Tumentsogt Soum, Sukhbaatar Aimag.

The “Improving Adaptive Capacity and Risk Management of Rural Communities in Mongolia’’ (ADAPT) project funded by the Green Climate Fund was launched in March 2021. The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, and the United Nations Development Programme for 7 years in Dornod, Sukhbaatar, Zavkhan, and Khovd aimags. 

The objective of the assignment is supply and deliver thirty eight (38) certified Eastern Mongolian Red breed cows and thirty eight (38) calves originating from herder-owned cattle herds in Tumentsogt soum, Sukhbaatar aimag, in accordance with the Description and Breed Standard for Eastern Mongolian Red Cattle, approved by Order No. A/507 of 2019 of the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry and the minimum requirements specified in the Technical Specifications.

Duration: 4 months
