Dear Bidder, The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External International Collaborator. Below is a summary of the work to be performed: The International Labour Organization (ILO) is seeking an international consultant to provide technical leadership for the Model Zone Initiative and Sustainable Investment components of the programme “Building Future-Ready Industrial Zones” in Bangladesh, implemented with the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA). The consultant will support the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of interventions to improve workforce skills, employment services, inclusion, workplace cooperation, social dialogue, compliance with labour rights, labour inspection, occupational safety and health, and governance systems in export processing zones. The role also includes advising on responsible business conduct, ESG practices, and investment competitiveness. Working with the ILO, BEPZA, government bodies, employers, workers, investors, training institutions, and a national consultant, the consultant will conduct consultations, develop frameworks and tools, identify international best practices, support capacity building, and recommend sustainability and scale-up strategies. Deliverables include an inception report, technical framework, comparative analysis, implementation support package, progress review, and final report.
