Description
The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) invites suitably qualified and authorised firms to submit Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming competitive bidding exercise for the supply, delivery, installation, testing, training, and maintenance of new printing machinery and maintenance of existing equipment at the UNON printshop in Gigiri, Nairobi Kenya. UNON is seeking an all-inclusive or “turnkey” solution for the following requirements that may include supply, delivery, installation, testing and training of the following: • Object benchtop UV flatbed printing equipment; • Powder applicator and conveyor curing dryer system; • Dual plate heat press equipped with an add-on projection alignment system; and • 80W Co2 Laser cutting and engraving equipment. Associated services required for the newly installed (as listed above) and existing digital prinitng equipment ( DTO- Roland Versa Object- MO-240 and DTF- Roland Versa Studio- BY- 20) currently in operation at the UNON printshop may inlcude: • Delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of the equipment; • Operator training and knowledge transfer; • Preventive and corrective maintenance services; • Technical support and after-sales services; and • Supply of consumables and spare parts. The contract resulting from a tendering exercise that will be undertaken subsequent to this REOI is anticipated to be awarded for an initial period of three (3) years with the option to extend for additional two (2) periods of one (1) years each.       Specific Requirements/Information IMPORTANT: Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. Its purpose is to identify companies that would be interested and eligible to participate in the solicitation when issued. Interested vendors must possess the necessary technical expertise and capacity to provide the required services, as only suitably qualified vendors will be invited to participate in the tender. Please refer to Annex A for the eligibility criteria. Interested vendors are required to express their interest as follows: a) via the link in UNGM provided at the Vendor Response section of the EOI, and b) Submit the filled out Self-assessment Questionnaire attached as Annex A (https://www.un.org/Depts/ptd/sites/www.un.org.Depts.ptd/files/pdf/eoi24640annex.pdf) of this EOI via email to unon-procurement-rfx@un.org keeping in copy lydia.mkanjumwa@un.org. The detailed Scope of Work and technical evaluation criteria and other particular requirements will be provided during the solicitation process. An Expression of Interest does not guarantee paricipation in the request for proposal as only suitably qualified vendors will be invited to participate. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this Request for EOI does not automatically guarantee your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. Vendors that are deemed qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their EOI submission will receive the final tender solicitation documents.
