ITB for Preserving Heritage Properties and Upgrading Informal Settlement within historical sites in Daudi valley (Daudi Bala and Daudi Payan) of Bamiyan province in Afghanistan.
This ITB targets contractors specialized in heritage preservation engineering works those only operating in Afghanistan.
The Preserving Heritage Properties and Upgrading Informal Settlement work in this ITB covers the following activities in two villages (Daudi Bala and Daudi Payan) of Daudi Valley of Bamiyan city:
1. Lining of a drain/canal from upper part of Daudi Payan coming down through the village and joining the main canal flowing in the end of Daudi village. The length of the drain is about 360m long with width of 1-1.5m and depth of 1.5 to 2m.The stone masonry work requires excavation, stone masonry with cement mortar, boulders, top and bottom PCC, in some parts filling of the drain with rushed/mix materials.
2. Construction of culverts: Construction of 6 culverts, of various size and type (box culverts and pipe culverts) as per specifications andBoQ. The work requires excavation, stone masonry, top and bottom PCC, boulders, RCC Slab, watering, etc.
3. Improvement of access road: The access road through Daudi Balaand Daudi Payan village that is all together around 1000m long,with cutting, filling, gravelling, watering and compaction as perBoQ. Around 800m road is in Doudi Bala and 200m in DaudiPayan.
4. Gabion work: The drains in Daudi Bala comes down near to the east Buddha and the water is stored in a huge pit and become reservoir that can cause damage to the two footpaths that connect the village to the main access path leading to Bamiyan Bazar and the other that goes to the east Buddha. This junction needsGabion boxes with some backfilling to stabilize the entire area.
