Description
The United Nations Global Service Center (UNGSC), with its headquarters in Brindisi, Italy, is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified and experienced suppliers to establish a Long-term Contract for the supply of ISO 20' and 10’ High Security Armory and Cashier Containers. These high-security containers are designed to serve as secure armory rooms and cashier offices, respectively. They will be deployed primarily as temporary solutions during the start-up phase of new United Nations (UN) Field Missions and may also be utilized to meet operational requirements within existing UN Missions worldwide.
The proposed Contract shall be established on an ‘as and when required’ basis with an initial duration of one (1) year, with the option to extend for two (2) additional periods of one (1) year each (1+1+1 years). The contract extension(s) will be at the sole discretion of the UNGSC and upon satisfactory performance by the Contractor.
The armored containers to be supplied shall be as follows:
1. ISO 20’ container for Armory units
2. ISO 10’ container for Armory units
3. ISO 20’ container for Cashier units
4. ISO 10’ container for Cashier units
The armored containers shall fulfill the following standards:
20-foot size, conforming to standard ISO 668, 1CC
10-foot size, conforming to standard ISO 668, 1D
The supplied high-security units shall be designed and manufactured for reliable operation in harsh and challenging environments and shall be suitable for deployment across a wide range of climatic and geographical conditions, including desert regions, tropical environments, and mountain locations.
The units' design shall incorporate features such as minimal on-site ground preparation, rapid deployment ability, easy transportation, energy efficiency, and a minimum 8-year lifespan. All units should be provided with lifting pockets, corner fittings, and lashing points conforming to ISO Standards, for handling, lifting, transportation, stacking, and securing operations.
The requested items shall allow for easy and quick installation, minimizing the use of special tools, heavy equipment, and high-skilled manpower, optimizing the number of assembly/installation steps.
Every armored container must be outfitted with HVAC systems, CCTV cameras, alarm systems, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, network rack, and the necessary electrical and data cabling infrastructure. Furthermore, High Security Armory units should include weapon storage racks for various types of weapons.
Given the global deployment of UN Missions and the varying electrical standards applicable across different regions, the Contractor shall be able to provide the containerized units configured to either European or United States electrical standards.
The armored containers shall be supplied with a certification from a third-party laboratory or testing center demonstrating the required ballistic-level protection.
Delivery terms: The delivery terms are Delivery at Place (DAP), Brindisi, Italy and Free Carrier (FCA), nearest port of exit (Incoterms 2010).
Companies interested in participating in the forthcoming solicitation process are invited to submit their Expression of Interest electronically, as further explained in the next pages.
To be eligible for the award, the selected vendor must be registered with the UN Secretariat through the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) for the required Level of Registration, which is "Level 2" before the award of the Contract.
**IMPORTANT NOTE**: The tender documents will be published via an e-tendering platform only to the email address(-es) registered in companies’ UNGM account. Therefore, companies are requested to verify the validity of the contact email address(-es) associated with their UNGM account at www.ungm.org so as to ensure delivery of the notifications and access to tendering documents.
