The United Nations Office for Project Services (hereinafter referred to as UNOPS) is pleased to invite competent Bidders/Contractors to submit their respective competitive bids for the Construction of Solar Powered Irrigation Model Farms, in Red Sea State, Eastern Sudan - 2 Lots in accordance with the UNOPS General Conditions of Contract.

Tender cancelled on 2026-09-01 15:46 UTC. The procurement process was unsuccessful due to the receipt of too few bids, which resulted in limited competition and uncompetitive/high prices.The tender will therefore be re-advertised after reviewing and revising the procurement approach. The revised procurement will consider the following:The works will be divided into individual Work Packages (WPs) for each Model Farm to encourage wider participation.The procurement documents will be revised, including changing the procurement method from ITB to RFQ, where appropriate, to remove potentially restrictive requirements that may have discouraged smaller-scale qualified vendors.The technical and financial qualification requirements will be reviewed and aligned with the scope and value of each individual Work Package.The Employer’s Requirements will be reviewed to ensure they are appropriate and proportionate to the revised scope.The possibility of removing the perimeter fencing from the tender scope will be assessed separately in coordination with the relevant technical/design teams.Based on the above considerations, ITB/2026/63825 will be cancelled and the requirement will be re-advertised following the necessary revisions to the procurement strategy and tender documents.
