RFQ 2200342909-EL HACKATHON ORGANIZATION – URUGUAY -SOCIAL INVESTMENT AND INNOVATION (SOCIAL ACCELERATOR) PROJECT

ITC is seeking to contract an experienced service provider, for 4 months, to design, organize, and implement a large-scale onsite hackathon in Uruguay. The goal is for the hackathon to mobilize 300 young people from Montevideo and other regions and help them generate innovative solutions to support social innovation. The innovative solutions must be linked to the Global Gateway¹ and involve the development or application of technologies and digital solutions in the following areas: green hydrogen and the wider energy transition; sustainable agriculture, including agroecology and family farming; water protection and biodiversity; climate resilience and environmental governance; sustainable livestock farming; electric urban mobility; coastal-zone adaptation; and climate services, including drought-information, water-monitoring and early-warning systems.

The Objectives of the successful contractor are to:

• Design and deliver a structured hackathon methodology ensuring effective implementation across pre-event, event, and post-event phases.
• Mobilize and engage a diverse cohort of at least 300 young participants, ensuring a minimum of 30% women participation
• Successfully implement a large-scale onsite hackathon, ensuring smooth logistics, strong participant engagement, and minimal attrition.
• Generate and capture up to 250 innovative ideas while ensuring structured documentation of outputs.
• Establish and implement a robust monitoring and reporting system, providing accurate activity insights.
