RFQ-Supply, Delivery and Set-up of Community Nursery Infrastructure and Material
UNDP Samoa seeks the supply, delivery, installation/set-up, and handover of community nursery infrastructure and materials required to establish a functional, durable, and easy-to-maintain nursery for biodiversity restoration, climate resilience, and community livelihood activities in Samoa. The nursery is intended to support the propagation of native trees, coastal species, mangroves, medicinal plants, and food-security crops through a community-based production system.
The scope includes the provision of seedling benches, potting/worktables, storage shelves and lockable cabinets, watering and irrigation accessories, seedling trays, pots and seedling bags, soil and compost materials, basic hand tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and project visibility signage. Suppliers shall provide all materials, accessories, fittings, and ancillary components necessary for a complete and operational nursery setup.
The successful supplier shall deliver all goods to the designated project site in Samoa, undertake installation or set-up where applicable, and provide basic user orientation on the safe use, maintenance, storage, and handling of supplied equipment and materials. Suppliers shall provide product catalogues, technical specifications, warranty information, delivery schedules, and after-sales support arrangements. Where items are quoted as a lot or set, bidders shall provide a detailed itemized breakdown of included components to facilitate technical and financial evaluation. The resulting nursery shall be capable of supporting initial production of approximately 2,000-4,000 seedlings at any one time and contribute to an annual production target of at least 5,000 seedlings.
