Description
The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified and experienced contractors for the refurbishment of its Warehouse facilities located within the UNGSC premises in Brindisi, Italy. The project includes a comprehensive assessment and refurbishment of Warehouse Buildings #256, #280, #281, and #282, addressing structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, safety, and security deficiencies to restore the facilities to a safe, functional, and durable condition for long-term operational use. Scope of works includes, but is not limited to: • Preliminary technical assessment; • Roof and skylight waterproofing refurbishment; • Refurbishment of ribbon windows; • Repair and maintenance of motorized doors; • Replacement and maintenance of emergency exit doors; • Replacement of entrance/exit canopy structures; • Repair of damaged concrete flooring; • Roof refurbishment works on Building #256. The anticipated project duration is up to 120 calendar days, including mobilization, implementation, and close-out activities. The approach of the contract is on all-inclusive basis, therefore the selected contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, and associated resources necessary for the successful execution of the works. Interested vendors should demonstrate: • Proven experience in building refurbishment and construction projects of similar size and complexity; • Availability of qualified technical personnel and project management capacity; • Experience in health, safety, and quality management; • Financial and operational capability to perform the required works. Companies interested in participating in the forthcoming solicitation process are invited to submit their Expression of Interest electronically, as further explained in the next pages. To be eligible for the award, the selected vendor must be registered with the UN Secretariat through the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) for the required Level of Registration, which is "Level 1" before the award of the Contract. **IMPORTANT NOTE**: The tender documents will be published via an e-tendering platform only to the email address(-es) registered in companies’ UNGM account. Therefore, companies are requested to verify the validity of the contact email address(-es) associated with their UNGM account at www.ungm.org so as to ensure delivery of the notifications and access to tendering documents. Specific Requirements/Information Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. Its purpose is to identify eligible vendors that would be interested in participating in the related upcoming tender. The UNGSC reserves the right to change or cancel this REOI at any time. Thus, submitting a reply to this REOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation documents when issued. Only Vendors who, in the UN's sole discretion, are deemed eligible and qualified may receive the final tender solicitation documents. Vendors submitting an Expression of Interest must be registered with UNGM at minimum, the Basic Level. Vendors who are not registered in UNGM will not be eligible to participate in the subsequent solicitation stage. Details of the technical evaluation criteria and other specific requirements will be shared with vendors invited to the solicitation. Vendors with any of the following attributes are strongly encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest: (a) Disability-inclusive organizations (b) Demonstrated commitment to achieving gender equality (c) Recognized status as a woman-owned business (d) Vendors from developing countries, countries with economies in transition or least developed countries.
