Description
The services/outputs being sourced are:
Output 1: Community of Practice (CoP) Platform for aquaculture transformation in Asia and the Pacific region developed, including:
- A regional CoP framework document developed and validated with the overall objective of advancing aquaculture transformation roadmap for Asia and the Pacific region.
- The CoP framework piloted through two national aquaculture innovation clinic (AIC) events in Thailand. Each event should include:
- Duration: 2 days per event
- Modality: In-person
- Format: Workshop and field visit organized in collaboration with Thai Department of Fisheries. The event activities should include technical presentations and experience sharing, interactive group discussions and problem-solving sessions, innovation showcasing (technologies, practices, business models, investment and financing mechanisms, etc.).
- Participation: at least 25 participants per event including innovation stakeholders from government, industry associations, private sector including startups and entrepreneurs, universities, and financial institutions.
- Venue: Thailand (to be identified)
Output 2: A regional policy dialogue event organized, aiming to facilitate high-level discussions to seek commitments from governments and regional partners to support the operationalization of regional CoP and field-level actions to progress aquaculture transformation on the ground. The event should include:
- Duration: 2 days (exclusive of regional travel days)
- Modality: in-person
- Participation: at least 60 participants, including senior aquaculture officials Asia and the Pacific countries, including but not limited to Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Viet Nam, and other relevant stakeholder groups (e.g. private sectors, development partners.)
