Name of service: RFP_010_2026_National Consultancy Firm to provide a certified training programme for Y-LEAP
Contract Duration: 4 months.
Location: Vientiane Capital, and hosting training in Vientiane, Laos.

Scope of work

Under the overall guidance of Ministry of Finance, Project Management Unit (PMU) Support staff, UNDP Project Assurance team, the firm is responsible for the following:

·       Design the fit-for-purpose training programme

·       Share the training programme and resources for review and final approval

·       Provide a structured and hands-on training

·       Conduct Pre- and post-workshop evaluation, including a results report

·       Provide training facilities and required resources

·       Provide a certification of completion.

The scope of work to be performed by the firm will include the following tasks:

Task 1. Professional Training 1: Effective Communication, Coordination, Digital Literacy to enhance productivity (August)

The firm is responsible for developing a curriculum and facilitating a 3-day workshop designed to equip trainees with basic professional skills. The workshop will utilize interactive, hands-on learning approaches. The content must cover:

  • Effective Communication and Coordination: Basics of communication, the art of asking questions, active listening, and summarizing key points. Time and task management skills, coordination skills through role-play, understanding physical office processes, and digital file management
  • Digital Literacy: Introduce the appropriate use of artificial intelligence (AI), covering proper prompt writing, verification of AI-generated content, and best practices for integrating AI into everyday professional tasks.
  • Presentation Design and Delivery: Practical training on developing clear, engaging, and professional presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, while strengthening participants presentation, communication, and public speaking skills for professional settings.
  • Assessment: Conduct pre- and post-workshop assessments to measure learning outcomes.
  • Certification: Provide a Certificate of Workshop Completion to participants.

Task 2. Professional Training 2: Leadership, Curriculum Vitae Writing and Interview Skills (Week of September 16th – 18th)

The firm is responsible for developing a curriculum and facilitating a second 3-day workshop focused on personal development and career preparedness. The workshop will utilize self-reflection and practical exercises. The content must cover:

  • Certified Leadership Training: Leadership exploration including its styles, development advocacy, self-awareness using tools, personal goal setting, and understanding teamwork skills.
  • Fundamental skills at work: interpersonal, critical thinking/problem solving.
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) Writing: Instruction on the function and elements of a CV, exposure to different CV formats, and a practical exercise to produce a CV.
  • Job Interview knowledge and mock interview practice: Learning the elements of interviews and their types, preparation techniques, and participation in mock competency-based interviews and case interviews with comprehensive feedback.
  • Assessment: Conduct pre- and post-workshop assessments to measure learning outcomes.
  • Certification: Provide a Certificate of Workshop Completion to participants on Leadership Training.
