A pilot demonstration project that will assess the potential and needs and develop design concepts for establishing a cryosphere research and training base in the upper reaches of the Varzob River basin in Tajikistan, in accordance with this solicitation document, under the Component 4 of the GEF-UNDP-UNESCO project “Strengthening the resilience of Central Asian countries by enabling regional cooperation to assess glacio-nival systems to develop integrated methods for sustainable development and adaptation to climate change”.
