The United Nations Office for Project Services (hereinafter referred to as UNOPS) is pleased to invite prospective bidders to submit bid for the Delivery, Onsite Assembly and Training of 24 units of Disc Ploughs and Spare parts for Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research (EIAR), Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in accordance with the UNOPS General Conditions of Contract and the Schedule of Requirements as set out in this Request for Qoutation (RFQ).

New clarification added: Dear Bidders,We received the below clarification questions from bidders. Please see the query and UNOPS response below for your consideration:Clarification Question:1. Regarding the quantity of the spare parts you list, could you clarify if the total quantities of each spare parts is 58 pcs or 58*24=1392pcs for 24 sets Disc plough?2. Manufacturer recommended spare parts are more than the spare parts you listed, we will list them all. But for the same spare parts, you just required 58pcs, if the manufacturer recommended is 96pcs, please confirm if we quote them separately(in Form C: Price Schedule Form, 58pcs is quoted price in II) Price List of Spare Parts and the remaining 96-58=38pcs is quoted in III) List of Manufacturer recommended parts? )?3. Could you clarify if the Manufacturer recommended spare parts for two years will be calculated in the total DAP PRICE? Or we just list and give price of the spare parts for one set Disc plough or 24 sets Disc plough?UNOPS Response:1. The total quantity required for each of the listed spare parts is 58, not 58x24.2. Based on the bid requirements, all manufacturer-recommended spare parts should be quoted as part of the Disc Ploughs. In addition, bidders are required to indicate the list with respective prices under Table III of the Price Schedule Form for information purpose.3. New clarification added: Dear Bidders,We have received an additional clarification question from an interested bidder. Please see the query and the UNOPS response below for your consideration.Clarification Question: According to requirement of project, we don't think New Holland T6050 tractor can drive disc plough with 5pcs 710*6mm discs. Please confirm whether that requirment is accurate? or we suggest is 660*6mm discs, please confirm. The T6050 DeltaCab Rated total engine power: 125 hp (93 kW / 126 PS).UNOPS Response:Please note that our tractor is a New Holland T6050 with 125HP (net power), and we are looking for 5 bottom integrally mounted disc ploughs compatible with this tractor. A disc diameter of 660–710mm is required based on the context of Ethiopia's soil type and condition.With regards,UNOPS HAMCO Procurement Unit

New clarification added: Dear Bidders,Please see below a clarification question received from an interested bidder and the corresponding response from UNOPS for your information:Question 1:Could you clarify whether RFQ/2026/63783 is a new tender or a retender of RFQ/2026/61238? We noted that these two tenders are same products with same paremeters.Question 2:There are many different types of disc ploughs.Could you please provide some relevant photos? Since there are different specifications, this would help us prepare a price quote.Question 3:Is there any possibility you share a reference picture of the plough? Because the type you inquiry have 3 different models.
