Supply of a Rainwater Harvesting System under the GTM Madagascar Programme
The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a specialized agency of the United Nations based in Rome, Italy is currently looking for a qualified service provider that can support the implementation of a climate resilient rainwater harvesting initiative benefitting 500 vulnerable rural households in the districts of Tuléar II (Atsimo-Andrefana Region) and Ihosy (Ihorombe Region), Madagascar. Accordingly, this project is country specific to Madagascar and would require physical and legal presence in the country either directly or indirectly through local partners.
The selected Service Provider will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the intervention, including beneficiary identification and validation, community awareness campaigns, supply and installation of household rainwater harvesting systems, post-installation technical support, monitoring, and knowledge management.
The purpose of this Request for Information is to understand what solutions are available on the market, considering that the households in southern Madagascar have thatched roofs, which are not suitable for roof-based rainwater collection.
