New clarification added: Q29.I would like to confirm with you that for Lots 2,3 & 4, as per Section IV: Schedule of Requirements, there is no requirement to provide Installation and commissioning and User training services, as these are not mentioned in this document.UNOPS Clarification 29.The equipment included under Lots 2, 3, and 4 is considered plug-and-play and is intended for use in existing laboratories where all required operational facilities and supporting infrastructure are already in place.Accordingly, on-site installation, commissioning, and end-user training services are not required. This is to confirm  which is the best configuration of filters.UNOPS Clarification 6.The fume hoods requested are intended for general laboratory use for handling small quantities of reagents. At this stage, it is not possible to provide an exhaustive list of chemicals, quantities, frequencies of use, or operating temperatures, as these parameters may vary depending on the activities of the beneficiary laboratories.Therefore, bidders are invited to propose a fume hood equipped with a filtration configuration suitable for versatile laboratory use, in accordance with the published technical specifications and the manufacturer's recommendations.Q7.We would like to clarify if Multiple technicallly compliant alternative solutions can be proposed for each line item.UNOPS Clarification 7.In accordance with the tender particulars, alternatice offers are not acceptable. Bidders must present one bid that fully meet the tender minimun requirements.

New clarification added: Q3.With reference to the Item2 Purified Water Storage Tank under Lot 4 – Laboratory Water Production and Storage, the technical specification requires that the tank "Complies with ISO 3696 or ASTM D1193." However, we would like to respectfully point out that both ISO 3696 and ASTM D1193 are standards that define the quality specifications for purified water, rather than standards applicable to the storage tank itself. As such, these standards do not appear to be relevant or applicable to the storage container. We kindly seek your confirmation on whether this is a typo, and if the intended standards should instead be IEC/EN 61010 and IEC/EN 61326.UNOPS Clarification 3.Purified Water Storage TankIt is correct that ISO 3696 and ASTM D1193 define requirements for laboratory water quality, not for the design characteristics of a storage tank.The intention of the published specifications was not to require certification of the tank according to these standards, but to ensure that it is suitable for storing water meeting the requirements for Type I and/or II laboratory water produced by the purification system without compromising the quality of the purified water..Therefore, we confirms that :- The references to ISO 3696 and ASTM D1193 should be understood as requirements for the quality of the water to be stored, and not as certification applicable to the tank itself;- The proposed tank must be manufactured using materials suitable for storing purified / ultrapure water, exhibiting low contaminant release and compatible with the laboratory applications described in the tender specifications.- When electrical or electronic components are integrated into the tank (such as : electronic level indicators, sensors, or control devices), their compliance with applicable safety and electromagnetic compatibility standards, such as IEC/EN 61010 and IEC/EN 61326, is acceptable when relevant to the components in question.Q4.For laboratory Freezer (-20°C) – Forced Convection Requirement (Lot 2, Item 3)，the specification requires "forced convection ensuring thermal uniformity" for the -20°C laboratory freezer. However, our proposed unit uses direct cooling technology (static convection) and also achieves excellent thermal uniformity. Please kindly confirm if this would be acceptable.UNOPS Clarification 4.The objective of this specification is to obtain a laboratory freezer capable of maintaining a homogeneous and stable temperature throughout its usable volume to ensure proper sample preservation. The reference to ''forced convection'' corresponds to a commonly used technical solution for achieving this performance, but is not an exclusive requirement.Consequently, we confirms that :A freezer using direct cooling technology (static convection) is acceptable ; this technology must, however, demonstrate that it meets the minimum performance requirements specified in the tender documents, including :- the required temperature range ;- thermal stability ≤ ±1°C ;- thermal uniformity ≤ ±2°C ;- as well as all other published functional requirements.Bidders must provide the manufacturer's technical documentation demonstrating the proposed equipment's compliance with these performance requirements. The method of cold circulation is therefore not a disqualifying criterion provided that the minimum required performance requirements are fully met.Q5.For Item3 Digital Precision Benchtop Electronic Scale, Capacity 5 kg, under Lot 3 Laboratory weighing and metrology equipment, the technical specification requires an electromagnetic load cell or equivalent high-stability technology. our proposed equipment utilizes a strain gauge load cell that we believe offers equivalent high stability. Could you please confirm whether this is acceptable?UNOPS Clarification 5.Electronic Precision Bench Balance (5 kg) The objective of the published technical specifications is to procure a laboratory precision balance capable of providing stable, accurate and repeatable weighing performance for routine laboratory applications. The reference to an electromagnetic weighing cell is intended to describe a proven weighing technology capable of achieving the required metrological performance. As explicitly stated in the specification, the wording "or equivalent high-stability technology" allows the use of alternative weighing technologies, provided that they demonstrably achieve equivalent functional and performance characteristics.Therefore :A balance using a strain gauge load cell may be considered acceptable provided that the proposed equipment fully complies with all the minimum technical and performance requirements specified in the bidding Document.In particular, bidders shall clearly demonstrate, through the manufacturer's official technical documentation, that the proposed balance achieves at least :- Maximum capacity ≥ 5,000g ;- Readability : 0.01g ;- Repeatability : ≤ ±0.01g ;- Linearity : ≤ ±0.02g ;- Stabilization time : ≤ 3 seconds ;- Long-term measurement stability suitable for laboratory use under normal operating conditions.The bidders shall also demonstrate compliance with all other technical requirements, including functional features, communication interfaces, applicable safety standards, and conformity requirements.The proposed equipment will be evaluated based on its demonstrated compliance with the complete technical specifications and supporting manufacturer documentation.

New clarification added: Q1. Regarding Item 1 of Lot 2, the usable volume of the combined biomedical refrigerator-freezer: is it acceptable if the usable volume of our equipment is either larger or smaller than the specified range? For  example, the usable volume of our equipment is 225L, while your required range is 250–300L.
