Please we kindly request you to clearly confirm the actual use i.e Water Supply, Plumbing, Irrigation or Drainage of the HDPE Pipes. Drinking Water supply to communities. Query 2. Please we're a bit confused on the unit of measure., is it the pieces or meters per each item. For instance for item no.00010, the quantity required is 1200 each, is it 1200 pipes or 1200 meters required? It is per meter (e.g. 1200 each means 1200 m of pipes) Query 3. We've noticed difference in wall thickness , Please we need to know the international standard used to determine the wall thickness. Use the thickness as per the specification. Query 4. Could you please clarify on the following: Query 5. HDPE Pipe 75mm PN12.5. The description mentions: 50m long HDPE pipe. However, the packaging requirement indicates: Coil – 100m. Could you please confirm the required coil length? Is it 50m per coil or 100m per coil? Its coil of 50 m Query 6. HDPE Pipe 63mm PN12.5. The specification indicates: Outer Diameter: 63mm. Working Pressure: PN12.5. Wall Thickness: 3mm Note: for 63 is coil of 100 m Query 7. According to our technical calculation, the wall thickness for PE100 pipe under PN12.5 pressure rating may normally be different. Could you please kindly confirm whether the required wall thickness is indeed 3mm, or if there is another standard/class you would like us to follow? Kindly follow the specification the wall thickness 3mm. Query 8. HDPE pipes are to be quoted as per ISO 4427,WRAS& NSF 61 , but the thickness as per ISO 4427 differs slightly compared to what is given in specifications , for Example item 00010 , SL 025493 , thickness of pipe as per ISO 4427 is 6.7mm but your specifications says 6.6mm . Manufacturers can only follow ISO 4427 . And for every size is little more as per ISO 4427 except for 25mm dia pipe item 00070 – SL 025487 thickness as per ISO 4427 is 2mm. Please follow the specification, the thickness can go about the specify thickness but not bellow. Query 9. The technical specifications state that the length of each pipe/roll is 50 / 100 / 200 meter. However, the quantities are mentioned as 1,200 Each, 1,500 Each, 2,500 Each, 2,800 Each, 2,800 Each, 2,500 Each, respectively. Yes, follow the packing as per the specification and add the excess of the pipe. e.g if you have to supply 150 m of pipes in coil of 100 m; they you will supply one coil x 100 m and 1 partial coil x 50 m (cut from another 100 m coil). Query 10. Can UNICEF decide to distribute the order? meaning one supplier can be given only one or 2 items? OR full order will be given to one supplier only? Query 11. If the order can be divided, in that case we have to consider freight DAP for each item separately and we cannot combine freight for all and give. See page 13 of 28 for further guidance for query 11.
