Description
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) invites qualified interested firms to submit Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming solicitation for the Simultaneous Language Interpretation, Interpreting Equipment and Translation Services for meetings convened by the Regional Office for Eastern Africa (ROEA) of the UNODC. It is anticipated that the contract will be for three years with an initial period of one year and optional two year extensions of one-year each (1+1+1). UNODC through its programme holds meetings within the East African region covering 13 countries: Kenya, Uganda, Seychelles, Eritrea, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Somalia, Madagascar, Comoros, Mauritius, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi requiring multiple languages including English, French, Portuguese, Swahili, Arabic, Amharic and Somali. The project’s primary objectives of this requirement is the provision of interpretation services during meetings that are held at various locations within the regions where UNDOC ROEA operates from. The complete details of the requirement will be provided in the tender documents that will be issued to bidders after this request for EOI is closed. Specific Requirements/Information IMPORTANT: 1.The EOI should specify brief relevant information about the company including the company's profile, capacity/capability and experience. 2. Bidders will be shortlisted based on their ability to provide the relevant documents showing that they are registered organisation and have relavant qualification and experience in providing Simultaneous Language Interpretation, Interpreting Equipment and Translation Services. 3. Interested vendors must possess the necessary technical expertise and capacity to provide the required services and equipment. 4. Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. Its purpose is to identify companies that would be interested and eligible to participate in the solicitation when issued. UNODC will examine the outcome of this request for EOI and will consider those companies that have expressed their interest. UNODC reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this Request for EOI does not automatically guarantee your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. 5. Before responding to this EOI, your company MUST have an accepted status with the United Nations Global Marketplace (www.ungm.org) with "UN Secretariat" at the Basic Level, or above.
