RfP for GRAB the Future Hackathon
UNDP Viet Nam is looking for 01 qualified consultancy firm/institute/organization for event management, branding, and multimedia documentation services for GRAB the Future Hackathon.
Ho Chi Minh City is the economic heart of Viet Nam and one of its fastest-growing urban centers. Yet its mobility system is under pressure. Motorcycles account for nearly 80% of daily trips, while public transport use remains below 5%. This results in worsening congestion, declining air quality, and rising greenhouse gas emissions, with the transport sector responsible for more than 39 million tons of CO₂ annually nationwide. Efforts to expand electric mobility and cleaner transport are underway, but challenges such as limited charging infrastructure, affordability, and behavioral change remain significant.
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Viet Nam has a strong track record in empowering youth through innovation programmes such as the Youth Digital Citizen Challenge (YDCC), which is an inclusive platform that empowers Viet Nam’s young talents to co-create solutions at the intersection of digital transformation and climate action. This programme has successfully mobilized hundreds of young innovators to develop digital solutions addressing development challenges.
OBJECTIVES OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES

- Provide end-to-end event management, operational coordination and logistical support for key programme activities, including pre-hackathon activities and the 36-hour hackathon.
- Ensure smooth implementation of hybrid and in-person activities, including venue preparation, participant coordination, technical setup, catering, materials, signage, branding and vendor management.
- Support the engagement of approximately 100–120 selected young participants during the hackathon, together with mentors, judges, speakers, partners and organizers.
- Develop and apply a consistent visual identity across key programme materials, in alignment with UNDP and Grab branding requirements.
- Provide professional photo and video documentation of key programme moments, including participant engagement, mentoring, teamwork, pitching and award activities.
- Prepare concise operational and final reports capturing implementation results, lessons learned and supporting documentation.
