Description
PROVISION OF RENEWABLE ENERGY MIX POWER SUPPLY IN AAIA 1. The United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS) intends to procure a reliable electricity supply with a minimum verified renewable energy share of 25% from the Commercial Operation Date (COD) and which will be increased over the period within contract span within Aden Abdulle International Airport (AAIA), Mogadishu, Somalia. 2. UNSOS will engage contractor(s) through electricity supply contract(s) for the provision of power supply. This procurement does not include the construction of a turnkey power generation plant, solar PV system, or distribution network. The contractor(s) shall supply electricity from their existing generation facilities to the UNSOS distribution infrastructure and shall be responsible only for the required interconnection works up to the agreed UNSOS connection points. 3. The initial power supply locations are given below and those locations are within AAIA, Mogadishu, Somalia: • MOVCON • Transport Section • Halane 4. UNSOS intends to engage licensed and qualified energy service provider(s) to supply constant and reliable electrical energy on a twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) days per week basis to three (3) UNSOS powerhouses/sub-distribution grids within AAIA and conclude contract(s) for supply of energy mix. The contract will be awarded for an initial period of one (1) year, with four (4) optional one-year extensions (1+1+1+1) subject to satisfactory performance and operational requirements. 5. The detailed scope of work will be included in the solicitation documents, which are expected to be issued in due time.      Specific Requirements/Information The vendor must be registred in UNGM Level-2 by the time of award.
