New clarification added: Question No 7:We have carefully reviewed the bidding documents; however, we would appreciate further clarification regarding the financial documents required for this tender.Specifically, we kindly request your guidance on the requirements and acceptable format for submitting either a Bank Statement or a Line of Credit. We would be grateful if you could clarify:Which of these documents is acceptable for this procurement?What are the minimum eligibility criteria and required contents of the document?Are there any validity period or minimum financial amount requirements?UNOPS reply:Please refer to the Criteria section in the eSourcing event, specifically Section 3: Qualification Criteria, Clause 3.1, where the requirement is clearly stated. In addition, please refer to the ITB document, as the same requirement is explicitly mentioned there.

New clarification added: Question No 1:This message is to request for clarification on site visit details whether it is mandatory or optional UNOPS reply: Site visit is optional, but it is strongly recommended. Conducting a site visit will enable bidders to accurately assess the scope of work, estimate precise costs, and evaluate local material sources prior to submission."Question No 2:How can we have a site visit to better calculate the project? UNOPS reply: The precise project location, encompassing Province, District, Village, and coordinates, is provided within the bid documentation, including the drawings, design brief, and ITB. Bidders are encouraged to reference these coordinates via Google Maps to accurately identify the check dams' axis points. Kindly note that UNOPS staff will not be available to facilitate or accompany bidders during site visits.Question 3:We would like to kindly seek your clarification regarding the bidding process. Could you please confirm whether our company is permitted to submit a bid for Lot 2 (Zabul) only, without participating in the other lots?We would greatly appreciate your guidance on this matter to ensure that our submission complies fully with the tender requirements. UNOPS reply:Yes you can apply for one lot. Question no 4:We would appreciate your clarification regarding the qualification requirement for similar work experience.Our company has successfully completed several large-scale construction projects in Afghanistan during the last five (5) years. However, we have not completed a Check Dam, Dam, or Canal project during this period.Could you please clarify whether our completed construction projects may be considered as similar experience, or is previous experience specifically in Check Dam, Dam, or Canal construction mandatory to meet this qualification requirement?UNOPS reply: In order to meet this criteria it should match with UNOPS requirement as stated in tender document as well as in evaluation criteria “ Bidder must have successfully completed at least One (1) similar works contracts as a prime contractor in Afghanistan, with a minimum contract value of USD 50,000 during the last five (5) years prior to bid opening. A similar works contract means [construction of Check Dams, Dams or Canal (Stone masonry or concrete), construction of retaining wall or protection wall (if it is within civil work contract, the value of retaining wall or protection wall shall not be less than the above stipulated amount). In case of Joint Venture (JV), all joint venture members combined must meet it”Question no 5?I would appreciate it if you could provide clarification regarding the following matter. Some aspects are unclear, and I would be grateful for any additional information or explanation you can provide.Thank you for your time and assistance.UNOPS reply: Please list what is not clear for you.
