Description
The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) will soon launch a competitive solicitation process for the commercial sale and disposal of various surplus assets located at its premises in Brindisi, Italy. The commercial sale will comprise eleven (11) lots, including, but not limited to, various Information and Communications Technology items (COMS), Electronic Data Processing (EDP) items, vehicles and container/scrap metal, as follows: • Lot 1: MERCEDES, SPRINTER-MDTS (Vehicle) (Qty 1, Kgs 3800) • Lot 2: COMS (IT Equipment, Satellite Communication Systems, Wireless Telecommunications Equipment) (Qty 4, Kgs 37) • Lot 3: EDP/COMS (IT Equipment, Wireless Telecommunications Equipment) (Qty 3, Kgs 24) • Lot 4: EDP/COMS (IT Equipment, Wireless Telecommunications Equipment) (Qty 10, Kgs 125) • Lot 5: SCRAP METAL (Scrap/metal) (Qty 30, Kgs 1954) • Lot 6: SCRAP METAL (Scrap/metal) (Qty 10, Kgs 1600) • Lot 7: SCRAP METAL (Scrap/metal) (Weight kg 3120) • Lot 8: SCRAP METAL (Container with scrap/metal) (Weight kg 10380) • Lot 9: SCRAP METAL (Container with scrap/metal) (Weight kg 3430) • Lot 10: SCRAP METAL (Scrap/metal) (Weight 1397 kg) • Lot 11: TOYOTA LAD CRUISER (Scrap/metal) (Quantity 1, Kgs 4480) Full technical specifications and administrative instructions will be provided in the solicitation document, which will be issued after the closing date of this Expression of Interest (EOI). The solicitation will also include details regarding a scheduled site visit to inspect the items at the UNGSC premises in Brindisi, Italy. Participation in the site visit is optional, and all related costs shall be borne by the bidders. Please note that all assets are offered for sale on an “as-is, where-is” basis, with no warranties or guarantees of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, warranties of quality, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. All sales will be considered final. Certain items, due to their sensitive nature, will be subject to disposal by destruction in the presence of UN personnel and will therefore be sold strictly as scrap material.
