Request for proposals – Digital Heritage & Interactive Media Production for Mar Mikhael Train Station – Beirut, Lebanon
Dear Sir/Madam,
UNESCO invites qualified service providers to submit proposals for “Digital heritage interpretation and interactive media production for the Mar Mikhael Train Station – Industrial Heritage Park in Beirut, Lebanon”, in line with the attached solicitation document.
The project will establish a permanent Memory Space featuring a Railway Heritage Hub, designed as an inclusive digital experience highlighting Lebanon’s railway history. Using interactive media and 3D technologies, the hub will engage diverse audiences, including persons with disabilities.
The scope includes:
- Digital reconstruction of Mar Mikhael Train Station through time.
- Interactive 3D locomotive models and educational tools.
- Virtual tour of six railway stations with maps and VR.
- Tactile orientation plan for accessible navigation.
Proposals must ensure historical accuracy, technical excellence, accessibility, and sustainability. Submissions (technical and financial proposals, duly signed) must be sent electronically in accordance with Clause 17 “Submission and Marking of Bids” no later than 01 July 2026 at 18:00 Beirut time.
Sustainable Procurement practices integrate requirements, specifications, and criteria that are compatible and in favour of the protection of the environment, the social progress and in support of economic development.
