Description
UNSOH intends to initiate a solicitation process for the provision of reliable and high-capacity Internet Service Provider (ISP) services to support operations at its Santo Domingo office(s). The selected service provider shall deliver secure, resilient, and high-performance internet connectivity to enable uninterrupted UN operations, communications, and data exchange. The scope of services shall include, but is not limited to: • Provision of dedicated internet connectivity with guaranteed bandwidth; • Installation, configuration, and commissioning of internet circuits; • Supply and maintenance of all required network equipment (e.g., routers, modems, cabling); • Ensuring high availability of services through redundancy and failover mechanisms; • Continuous monitoring and technical support services; • Provision of Service Level Agreements (SLA) covering uptime, latency, and response times; • Support for both IPv4/IP addressing and enterprise connectivity needs; • Coordination with UNDP or other UN agencies where required for shared infrastructure or contracting arrangements. The services are expected to operate on a 24/7 basis with minimal downtime to ensure uninterrupted mission-critical operations. Specific Requirements/Information Interested vendors must demonstrate the following minimum qualifications: • Legal authorization to operate as an Internet Service Provider in the Dominican Republic; • Proven experience in delivering enterprise-grade internet services to international organizations, government entities, or large institutions; • Capacity to provide scalable bandwidth solutions, including significant capacity upgrades as required; • Ability to ensure high service availability (typically ≥99% uptime) and rapid fault resolution; • Availability of technical support services (helpdesk and on-site support); • Demonstrated capability to install and manage dedicated circuits and redundancy solutions; • Compliance with UN standards on information security, data protection, and ethical business practices; • Ability to mobilize services within a reasonable timeframe following contract award.
