The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Kenya, invites qualified, experienced, and reputable construction firms with demonstrated experience to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for participation in the upcoming Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the below 4 Projects : Project Lots • Lot 1: Construction of Social Rental Housing, Kibuye Estate, Kisumu • Lot 2: Construction of Shauri Moyo Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) School, Kisumu • Lot 3: Construction of Muhoroni Green Park and Associated Infrastructure, Kisumu • Lot 4: Construction of Muhoroni Community Multipurpose Hall and Associated Infrastructure, Kisumu Project Background Lot 1: Construction of Social Rental Housing, Kibuye Estate, Kisumu Kibuye Settlement is located in Kisumu City, behind Kibuye Market, one of the largest open-air markets in East Africa. The site covers approximately 1 acre and is under a leasehold title owned by the Kisumu City County Government. The settlement currently comprises 20 blocks of semi-detached single-storey houses and 8 blocks of double-storey houses. The proposed works include the construction of: • 10 one-bedroom units • 5 two-bedroom units • 5 three-bedroom units Lot 2: Construction of Shauri Moyo ECDE School, Kisumu Shauri Moyo ECDE is located in Muhoroni, Kisumu County, near Osiepe Practical Action. The project site measures approximately 0.27 acres and is under a leasehold title owned by the County Government of Kisumu. The scope of works includes construction of: • Four (4) classrooms • A multipurpose hall • Kitchen facilities • Children’s and adults’ washrooms • General store • Head teacher’s office • Staff room • Dry and cold storage areas Lot 3: Construction of Muhoroni Green Park and Associated Infrastructure – Kisumu Muhoroni Green Park is located in Muhoroni, Kisumu County, along the Muhoroni–Londiani Highway, approximately 250 meters from Wallys Petrol Station and 150 meters from the Chief’s Camp. The site spans approximately 4.94 acres and is under a leasehold title owned by the County Government of Kisumu. The scope of works includes: • Construction of a pavilion • Paved walking, jogging, and cycling tracks • Sitting terraces • An ablution block • Children’s play area • Outdoor games area • Gatehouse Lot 4: Construction of Muhoroni Community Multipurpose Hall and Associated Infrastructure, Kisumu The Muhoroni Multipurpose Hall is located in Muhoroni, Kisumu County, near the Repentance and Holiness Church and the Muhoroni Chief’s Camp. The site measures approximately 0.131 acres and is community-owned. The works will include the construction of: • A multipurpose hall with a stage • Two (2) meeting rooms • Washroom facilities • A kitchenette • Sitting and eating areas • Green open space • Limited parking facilities Please review the important note below on the submission requirements. Bidders who do not returned the signed Annex A by email may miss out on being invited to the solicitation. Specific Requirements/Information IMPORTANT This Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) comprises four (4) distinct projects, which will be issued under a single solicitation divided into four (4) separate lots and is not a Invitation to Bid (ITB). Interested bidders are invited to express their interest in one, two,three, four or all four, depending on their capacity and experience. Bidders must register their interest to this EOI electronically online, through UNGM. In addition, bidders who have registered their interest in UNGM must clearly indicate the project(s)/Lot(s) they wish to participate in by completing the attached Annex A Self-Declaration Form and return it via e-mail to unon-procurement@un.org with a copy to rosemary.njerimuiru@un.org, by the REOI closing date of 24 June 2026. Interested bidders must possess the necessary technical expertice and capacity to provide the required services, as only suitably qualified bidders will be invited to participate. Please refer to Annex A for detailed instructions and assessment procedure. Bidders expressing interest must be registered with the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) at minimum of Basic Registration Level. Bidders not registered in UNGM will not be eligible to paricipate in the Request for Proposal at a later stage. Details of the techincal evaluation criteria and other particular requirements will be provided under the Request for Proposal stage.Please note that this request for REOI is not an invitation for submission of a proposal. Bidders possessing the following attributes are strongly encouraged to participate: (a) Inclusive of persons with disabilities, (b) A demonstrated commitment to achieving gender equality, (c) Woman-owned business status, (d) Originating from developing countries, countries with economies in transition, or least developed countries.
