ReportUNOPS writes “Perfect binding with 4 ceasing lines” and for 2. Catalogue UNOPS writes “Square back binding”. Will UNOPS clarify the difference?Answer 9- 1) A perfect binding with "4 creasing lines" (also known as a 4-score cover) features two parallel creases on both the front and back covers. These creases form the hinges (or joints) of the book, allowing the softcover wrap to open smoothly without snapping the spine's glue line. 2) Square back binding (also known as square edge or square spine) is an innovative finishing method that upgrades standard saddle-stitched (stapled) booklets to look just like expensive perfect-bound books. It creates a flat, professional spine ideal for adding printed titles and preventing booklets from springing. Note: The specifications provided reflect standard printing and binding terminology. It is expected that professional printing suppliers are familiar with the differences between these binding methods.Clarification 10- tem no 7. Some folder designs are prepared in CMYK only, while others may include Pantone spot colours. The final colour specification should therefore be based on the individual artwork provided for production.2) Cutting die: UNOPS will provide the existing die-line/template file used for the folder artwork. UNOPS does not provide a physical cutting die or production tooling. The printer should use the supplied die-line file to prepare any tooling required for production.3) Protective coating: The type of protective coating or lamination may vary depending on the individual folder design and production requirements.
